IT'S TIME TO BEGIN
I remembered in a lucid tone when one of my colleagues told me that there are things "you will never be ready for". I calmly refute the statement as my rather obstinate perspective is fixed at the notion that when I work hard enough, and when I prepare myself gingerly to the core, I will be just ready in the pursuit of my endeavors. But you see, I gradually found that was a huge dilemma in itself. The problem is that, I am not ready. I could never be ready.
Picture someone who insatiably desired to have an eminent career in Broadway. His moment is here. Right here. Newspapers attest that the remake of West Side Story is in the works. His eyes quickly skimmed for the Open audition schedule. He found it. It will transpire soon. A little too soon. He always wanted to play the much coveted role of Tony. Over the succeeding days, he goes back and forth in a confusing pace, hands and feet fidgeting, decisions unsettling. NO. He won't be auditioning. He's not equip yet, or so he thought. He'll wait for the next opportunity. Maybe there might still be boundless juncture of circumstances. Maybe next time he'll be ready. Maybe next time he'll be set.
MAYBE.
That man is me. That man is some of us. Always waiting.
Losing time.
Perpetuating the runarounds.
Aggravating the non-risks of our comfort zones.
I eventually came to my senses that If I wait 'til I'm ready, I will never be able to commence the process of achieving the dreams that's already within my grasp. I figured that what's getting in my way of reaching the full potential is myself. This is the principal reason why some of our dreams are languishing in the dark areas of our fears.
Anxiously waiting.
Long-suffering.
Unawaken.
It is time to begin.
Don't gratify yourself with the thought that there are liberal number of days in your hands, the dust of time vanishes unannounced and we're left with the residue of lost time. So get up. Pick yourself up, and start now.
Don't wait. The Earth revolves completely about its axis much rapidly than the blink of an eye. So if you ought to go somewhere, start the first step now and take this with you,
"The secret to success is to start before you're ready"
End.
